An invitation is extended to all delegates to attend the Welcome Reception. Spend the evening catching up with old friends and make new acquaintances whilst enjoying drinks and nibbles with the city skyline as your backdrop.

Griffith University Art Gallery is located 226 Grey Street South Bank QLD 4101. The South Bank campus is a short walk from the Brisbane CBD; ideally crossing the river on the Goodwill Bridge (footbridge) or the Victoria Bridge (go past the Performing Arts Centre and follow the Grand Arbour right through to the eastern end of South Bank). The South Bank Railway Station is directly across Grey Street, behind the college. There is also excellent bus public transport options available by catching a bus to the South Bank Busway Station.

'best of' Movie Night

Hot dogs, popcorn, choc tops... and short films! A great way to spend an evening.

The 'best of' Movie Night will feature a 90 minute program of selected films (with open captions or subtitles if in a foreign language) from The Other Film Festival. The program will be introduced by the festival director and include a facilitated discussion following the screening. Audio Description (AD) for people who are blind or who have a vision impairment will be provided.

We invite the local community to come and join us for the evening!

International Day of People with Disabilities Celebratory Luncheon

On December 3 each year, people around the world celebrate the achievements of people with a disability. People with a disability, and their friends, families and carers celebrate their abilities with the wider community.

This year, this day coincides with the Friday of the Pathways 10 conference. We hope that participants and others will attend a celebration luncheon on the Friday of the conference. The purpose of this event will be consistent with the aim of the International Day of People with Disabilities (IDPwD) to bring together people with disability and the general community and to:

• showcase the skills, abilities, contributions and achievements of people with disability
• promote a positive image of people with disability
• involve people with disability and the broader community in activities to celebrate and raise awareness of IDPwD.
